I saw a pregnant woman
die
today
her
face
rigid, from
the disbelief
riddled by indifference
rapid fire
belly
bleeding, her
child
every
painful step
bore sorrow, hopelessness
as she crumbled slowly
realizing her loss
face grew pale
as confusion ran around in circles
her last words
"Help Me"
grabbed into your skin
not letting
go
ever
